HOW CUTE ARE THESE?!
This is why I’m so head over heels in love with Pinterest. You can be just randomly browsing for anything and then BAM! some so adorable you know you have to make it. Despite my lack of crafting abilities.
Here’s a secret: I love cake mix. It really doesn’t take much time at all to mix up the basic ingredients for what’s in a box of cake mix and of course, there’s the preservatives to consider, but still. I really like cake mix. You can do so much with it! And if you don’t use the whole box, there’s a world of possibilities of things to make.
So obviously I think Funfetti is grand. To me, it has that classic “birthday cake” flavor that you see replicated in ice cream and such. Plus, it’s got sprinkles which just add to the fun. I hope you like Funfetti too because we’re using it on Friday too! 🙂
Anyway…I’m super excited to share this recipe. Not only are these Christmas trees adorable, they’re super simple and super tasty. They remind me of my Christmas Tree Brownies I made a few years back: very cute and very easy for even a non-crafty person to make.

1 box Holiday Funfetti cake mix
1/3 cup canola or vegetable oil
1 can Holiday Funfetti frosting with sprinkles
Extra sprinkles, if desired
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 9×13 cake pan.
In a medium bowl, combine the cake mix, oil, and eggs. Batter will be very thick. Spread and/or pat evenly into prepared pan. Try to make it as level as possible. Bake for 14-16 minutes. Cool in pan on a wire rack.
Once cookie bar is cool, turn it out onto a work surface. Use a Christmas tree cookie cutter to cut out trees. Frost with the Funfetti frosting and decorate with sprinkles as desired.
