A Conferencing We Will Go

in Adventures, conferences

It’s that time of the year again!  I’m headed to Boston on Friday for the MLA annual conference.  This year, like the past two, I’m a conference blogger and I’ll be blogging about early morning events, like Sunrise Seminars (complete with breakfast!), the annual walk, the yoga class, etc.  I’m sure to be a delight to everyone because I’m such a morning person.

Yeah right.

I did the early morning thing last year and it really wasn’t that bad.  It gave me an excuse to leave the vendor parties early and I sincerely enjoy any event where free food and caffeine are provided.

I’ve never been to Boston so I’m anxious to get out and take a tour.  I’ve heard good things about the Boston Duck Tours and the trolley tours so I guess I’ll see how much time I end up having and where I want to go.  If you’ve been to Boston or live in Boston, give me some suggestions!

Go to modern bakery and get a biscotti. Then thank me. 🙂

If you have a chance to walk the Freedom Trail (even parts of it) http://www.thefreedomtrail.org/, you get to see a lot of Boston and a good history lesson. The USS Constitution is also great (http://www.history.navy.mil/ussconstitution/).
