BlogHer Review: P&G eStore, Toiletry Hoarding, and Thoughts About Skin Care

When it comes to toiletries, I’m a bit of a hoarder.  The top shelf of my linen closet is loaded down with extra toothpaste, deodorant,  lotion, contact solution…if I use it, I’ve probably got an extra.  I love to match up coupons with sales which sometimes leads to an excessive amount of things like toothpaste.  Apparently toothpaste goes on sale a LOT and since I cut out a lot of coupons for toothpaste…well, let’s just say that’s how I ended up with 8 tubes of brand name toothpaste.

But sometimes even the most careful shopper, couponer, or stockpiler can find herself without a much needed toiletry item and facing paying full price for it.  When you haven’t paid more than a $1 for a tube of toothpaste in two years, paying close to $4 can feel like the end of the world.

Which is why I was so excited when BlogHer contacted me to tell me about P&G’s new eStore and what great sales and bargains they offer.  P&G sends out those fabulous coupons I steal from my parent’s newspaper sometimes and they have several of my favorite brands like Olay, Crest, Secret, and CoverGirl.  The new eStore is really great – it’s easy to search and to browse your favorite P&G brands, and right now almost everything is on sale!  The eStore offers free shipping on orders over $25 and they take PayPal.  So if you’re anything like me – someone who loves toiletries and cosmetics and tends to forget that PayPal is real money – be careful. 🙂

I’ve already placed my first order (no I didn’t get any toothpaste) and am especially excited about the Olay Complete Great Value Skin Care Starter Trio Pack which comes with face wash and a day time moisturizer.  I already use Olay’s night creme and love it so I’m super excited to test out their face wash and day moisturizer.  The moisturizer has sunscreen in it (you know how I feel about that!) and the face wash is oil free, two very important components for me.  Keep an eye out on Twitter; I’ll be sure to let all of you know what I think about the new duo pack.

Are you a toiletry junkie?  Or do you just thrive on sales?  Am I the only one who stockpiles toothpaste like the world is ending?  Anyway…no matter how you feel about sales and stockpiles, you really should hop over and check out the P&G eStore.  And hurry and do it before August 31st, because every order placed before then is 10% off!  It’s like combining sales and coupons!  Online!  Without having to leave your house!

If I could just ask you one thing: if you are going to go check out the new store (and why wouldn’t you?!), please do it through this super special link.  You can buy whatever you want, I just ask that you do it through the link below.  That way you save some money and I earn some money and we all win!  So please? 🙂

PS: Am I the only person who cries during the P&G Olympics commercials with the little kids acting like Olympians?  Way to tug at my heartstrings, P&G.

1. I CANNOT watch those commercials…especially after some wine.
2. when the world ends: you bring the toothpaste, i’ll bring the athletic tape. we’ll save the world…or what’s left of it at least. 😉

I, too, am a toiletry hoarder and I’m super excited about this website.

And, if you bring the toothpaste, and Christine brings the athletic tape, then I’ll bring the body wash (and “feminine hygiene products”), cause Lord knows I have enough stockpiled to last the 3 of us for at least a couple years.

P.S. Don’t y’all think it’s about time for a A/C/E reunion? Didn’t we start college like *8* years ago (*shudder*)?

I’m totally up for a reunion; we just need to figure out how to kidnap Christine from the midwest and bring her back where she belongs.

And yes, 8 years ago this week we started college.
