Food Waste Friday: It’s Back!

in Food Waste Friday

It’s been a while since I’ve done a Food Waste Friday post (um the end of July was my last one!), so it’s definitely time to get back on track.  I’ve thrown out a few odds and ends over the past month, but I’ve been doing pretty well.  I just haven’t been blogging about it!  Oops.

Anyway, so this week I wasted:

The grapes had started to get all shrunken and the blueberries had started to mold.  I ate most of them, but these got lost in the back somehow.

I don’t remember when I bought this sour cream so it’s best I throw it out.  In the small container are about 4 breaded shrimp that I was going to eat on Wednesday, but they smelled really fishy.  Into the trash they went.

What did you waste this week?

I’m afraid I’m going to have to waste some bananas this week. 🙁

Use them to make banana bread! That’s what I do with all my bananas that go bad!

Banana bread!!! Or…Smoothies? Or peel them and throw them in the freezer, for making banana bread later?

Man, blueberries always go bad so quickly. Those sneaky things.
