This week I wasted…

NOTHING!

I’m so excited that we didn’t waste anything this week. I accomplished this in two ways:

  1. Cooking two large meals (6-8 servings in each) and eating it all over the course of several days. We were able to eat all the leftovers and feel satisfied.
  2. Making a check of the fridge today. I saw some lettuce that was turning so that went on sandwiches and some leftover soda bread from Tuesday. It was beginning to stale, but we at it anyway.

Tip on keeping the bread longer- put it in a freezer bag and throw it in the freezer. To quick thaw, put in microwave on defrost with a bowl of water beside it to keep the bread soft (unless it is French bread and needs to be crusty). Don't forget to turn it over occasionally so one side does not get hot while the other is still cold.
