This week is a weird one. I’m having some testing done on my stomach today (more on that when I know more!) and this week’s the 4th of July holiday, so making a menu was sort of difficult. But I was able to come up with a few things. 🙂
Still not sure what we’re doing for the 4th…what about you? Any big plans?
If you’re looking something good to cook this week, don’t forget to check out the fabulous recipes that were linked to my summer recipe round up!

I tried to make up a menu for this week (dinner only, as I usually have leftovers or a SmartOnes for lunch), but we’ll see how that goes:
Last night: Chicken pot pie
Monday: Spaghetti
Tuesday: Grilled tilapia with rice and green beans
Wednesday: Grilled steak with baked potatoes and salad
Thursday: Grilled cheddar brats and potato chips
Friday: Grilled BBQ chicken with grilled corn on the cob and pasta salad
Can you tell that Rob got a new grill and is excited about using it!?
I can tell Rob is excited, but how do you feel about it?
I basically just want macaroni & cheese, bread, and candy, but I figure grilled food is probably a better option. 🙂
I hope your tests all go okay. I’m always excited to only need to worry about taking a side dish to my brother’s party on the Fourth of July. We actually have offers for the 3rd, 2 parties on the 4th, and I’m hoping to talk my husband into going to see the Royals fireworks on Friday (not the ballgame just the display by parking across the street from the stadium) but I don’t know if we’ll be able to do it all (or if we even want to do it all).
Wow that sounds like a busy few days! Have fun!
