Menu Plan Monday

in Menu Plan Monday

I’m still working on using up what’s in my freezer and pantry per my July goals.  So far, I can’t actually tell a difference, but I think I might be able to after this week when I use up the last of my chicken, cheeses, frozen pizza dough, and bacon.  The next step will be to tackle the pantry.  I’ve got a lot of weird stuff in there, so this could get really interesting.

Sunday: Chicken turnovers (bumped from last week)

Monday: Pizza (creating something new in order to use up leftover pesto, ricotta, and mozzarella)

Tuesday: Out to dinner with family

Wednesday: Rosemary chicken

Thursday: Leftovers

Friday: Breakfast for dinner

Saturday: TBD

Is anyone else attempting a freezer/refrigerator/pantry clean out?  How are you doing?

What kind of weird stuff?? And are you asking just WHERE it came from? 🙂

I guess by weird, I mean random. Yesterday, I found about a half a can of crushed tomatoes that had been frozen, I have 5 boxes of chocolate pudding, boxes and bags of opened pasta and rice, frozen vegetables that I don’t remember buying…

This list goes on and on. Sometimes I think it’s multiplying. 🙂

I’m trying desperately to clean the canned goods out of my pantry. I moved a bunch of stuff around and consolidated a couple weeks ago and there’s just not room for excess canned goods in my cabinet! 🙂

On the bright side, you are prepared for a zombie appocolypse or a major natural disaster. 🙂

It feels so good when the pantry/freezer are cleaned, though… you can do it!

Keep your eyes peeled at garage sales for an ice cream maker — I promise you’ll love it 🙂

Either a garage sale or ebay I’m thinking. Still debating between a stand-alone and the KitchenAid attachment. I can’t decide!
