I read The Middlesteins. Somewhere I read something about this book, or someone suggested it, I don’t remember but I was so impressed with what I heard about it I remember being excited to see that my library did indeed own it. Well, I didn’t care for it. I am not sure why I kept reading, except hoping it was going to suddenly get better. 🙁
I do that a lot. I read a strong review online, get the book, and then am terribly disappointed. I should remember that not everyone likes the same sorts of books and if it sounds like a book I might not like, I probably won’t. No reason to put myself through a miserable book when there are so many excellent ones out there! 🙂
