Tessa Dare’s A Night to Surrender – the first in a all-new trilogy. I’m about 1/3 of the way through it and so far it’s funny and only just a little bit silly. This book is also part of Avon’s K.I.S.S. and Teal promotion where 25¢ from each book sale go to support ovarian cancer patients and their families. September is ovarian cancer awareness month, an cause dear to my heart, so if you are all interested in historical romance, I encourage you to check out the 7 books that are part of this promotion.
Julie Garwood’s Honor’s Splendour – I’ve been reading this book, on and off, for about two weeks. I just can’t get into it. It’s on my reading list, so there are obviously a lot of people who think it’s great. I’m not quite ready to give it a DNF, but I’m not sure how much of the frustrating naivety of the heroine.
Brianna Karp’s Girl’s Guide to Homelessness – this was a book I picked up at ALA this year with the intentions of reviewing it. And I’m just now getting around to it. 🙂 Expect a review before the end of the month, and if I can get permission, a giveaway.
What are you reading this weekend?

I’m reading the last book in The Secret Circle series by L.J. Smith. I’m so excited for the show to start on the CW!
That’s on my list of new shows to check out too! I haven’t read the books, but the show trailer looks really interesting. I guess if I like it, I’ll have to read the books. 🙂
