Weekly Wanderings: What I Found While Wandering Around the Blogosphere
Food:
Kid-Friendly Casserole or Hotdish recipes – I keep running into the term “hotdish” and never knew that it’s what people from Minnesota call casseroles! This is an excellent collection of casseroles (or hotdishes if you prefer).  I’ve got my eye on the poppy seed chicken one; it reminds me of something I used to eat in college a lot!
Gluten-Free Scones – If you are cooking for a gluten-free eater in your family, you are probably aware that King Arthur Flour has released a line of gluten-free products.  They are also dishing up some new gluten-free recipes on their blog.
Chocolate Sugar Cookies – I’ve been keeping my eye out for something sweet to take to work on Valentine’s Day.  I’m thinking these cookies or (yet another Annie’s Eats recipe!) these whoopie pies.  What do you think?
A Pasta for LoversBon Appétit got Deb Perelman (you know from Smitten Kitchen, one of my favorite food blogs) to create this pasta recipe for them.  If I had a food processor I would make this immediately.  Yum.
Chewy Chunky Blondies – I love cookie bars and variations on them, so I was really excited to see this recipe.  I would leave out the coconut (ew) but I love the idea of baking them in dessert rings or muffin tins.
Everything else:
Tips for Dealing Procrastination – Oh man.  How much do I need this post?  So so so much.  There’s some good tips here; nothing I haven’t ever seen before, but good stuff all the same.
5 Simple Ways to Wake Up Earlier – Toni at The Happy Housewife has no idea how much I need this article.  I’m a terrible waker-uper (my new word for the day).  I really need to start following some of these suggestions.  It might help 6:00 come a little easier.
How To Tuesday: The Perfect Proposal – My good friend (and former roommate) Ashley is engaged!  You should pop over to see her ring and say congratulations.

I don't think I've eaten poppy seed chicken since I moved out of the sorority house. I think I'll try that one as well for nostalgia's sake.

Thanks for the mention! So excited about our get together.
