What NOT To Say To Your Single Friends – Not to be rude, but I know a lot of people who need to read this article.  I try to brush off comments like these because I know people usually just mean well, but it gets really old after a while.  Stop and think if you would want to hear something similar before you say anything.

Are Apps Making Cookbooks Obsolete? – I still use my cookbooks a good bit, but mostly I stick to my binder full of printed out recipes and my computer.  Pinterest has totally revamped the way I find and try new recipes.  What about you?  Do you still use cookbooks?

A Highly Scientific Analysis of The Hunger Games Trailer – If you’re not excited about The Hunger Games (coming this March), what’s wrong with you?  Read the books.  Then we can talk.

If you haven’t seen this Ryan Gosling meme, you’re missing out.

And now onto the food…

Baked Mushroom Risotto with Caramelized Onions

Bite-Sized Baked Brie

Steamed Mussels in White Wine

Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars with Pretzel Crust

So, when I read your thoughts on “What NOT to Say to Your Single Friends,” but before I read the article, I was like, “Oh no. What if I’ve been saying horrible things without realizing it? Am I that person?!” And I was relieved when I read the article and concluded that no, I am not that person. I may not always be the most tactful person ever, but “You just need to get laid”? Seriously? I hope people do not say things like that to you…gah!

All the Ryan Gosling tumblrs make me so happy. The librarian one is excellent.

Usually when people say things like that, they don’t mean any harm, but everyone once in a while, the comments are so snarky that you wonder what the real intentions behind them are. Luckily, I don’t have too much experience with mean comments like that!
