15 Lowest Pesticide Choices – I don’t like buying organic because it’s so expensive, but I am concerned with the amount of pesticides used on vegetables and fruits, especially those that aren’t grown locally.  This is an interesting list because instead of listing the produce you should be buying organic, it gives you the foods that are safer to buy the normal, cheaper version.

Ooh, I love falafel–I could eat it every day of the week.

I’ve found that farmers markets are a great place to buy affordable organic produce. It costs a lot to be certified organic, so sometimes you’ll see the booths will have signs that say they don’t spray instead–if you talk to the vendors, you can find out the specifics of their farming practices.
